Plan Your Visit: Timings and Services at Digambar Akhara
Digambar Akhara, one of the most revered and ancient monastic institutions of Sanatan Dharma, warmly welcomes all spiritual seekers, devotees, and curious visitors to experience its sacred atmosphere. Whether you’re coming for darshan, to participate in a ritual, or to simply sit in peaceful reflection, your visit to the Akhara offers a chance to reconnect with timeless wisdom and inner peace.
To help you make the most of your visit, here’s a detailed guide on visiting hours and daily services offered at the Akhara.
Visiting Hours
The Akhara is open to the public daily, with carefully structured hours to accommodate both spiritual activities and personal darshan:
- Morning Hours: 5:30 AM – 12:00 PM
- Evening Hours: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM
These hours allow visitors to witness key rituals, participate in communal prayers, and interact with resident saints and disciples. The ashram remains closed to visitors during the afternoon hours for internal maintenance, meditation, and personal spiritual practices of the resident sadhus.

Daily Services and Rituals
Visitors are welcome to observe and participate in various services and ceremonies that are held at fixed times each day:
1. Morning Aarti and Puja (6:00 AM – 7:30 AM)
Begin your day with the divine vibrations of Vedic chanting and sacred aarti performed by the resident Brahmacharis and saints. The spiritual energy during this time is ideal for meditation and prayer.
2. Vedic Discourses and Satsang (8:00 AM – 9:00 AM)
Attend enlightening discourses on Bhagavad Gita, Upanishads, and other dharmic texts led by senior acharyas. These sessions are open to all visitors and are often interactive.
3. Prasad Distribution (12:00 PM)
Devotees are offered freshly prepared sattvic bhojan (meal) as prasad, served with love and devotion. Visitors are encouraged to partake and also engage in seva if they wish.
4. Evening Meditation and Bhajan Sandhya (6:00 PM – 7:30 PM)
As the sun sets, the Akhara resonates with devotional bhajans and the sounds of conches and bells during the evening aarti. A perfect time to soak in the spiritual ambiance.
